What We Test

Marijuana Infused Products (Solids)

Solid infused products are sold as discrete units, so the compliance question is always what an individual piece delivers rather than what the batch averages. Two processes stand between the infused input and the finished dose: how evenly the mix distributed, and what heat did to the cannabinoids on the way. Calculating the dose from the starting material consistently overstates it.

Cannabinoid Isolate

Cannabinoid isolate testing applies to a single cannabinoid refined to a white crystalline powder, typically 99% or higher, with terpenes and other cannabinoids removed. It is almost always an ingredient rather than a finished product.

For isolate submissions, important details include:

  • Target cannabinoid: CBD, CBG, CBN, or other
  • Winterisation, chromatography, and drying steps applied
  • Stated purity from in-process testing
  • Batch weight and packaging
  • Products it will be formulated into

For a hemp-derived isolate, the critical number is not the target cannabinoid but the THC left behind. A product that is 99% CBD can still exceed the THC limit in the remaining 1%, so trace-level THC analysis is what actually determines whether the batch is compliant.

Common submissions include: CBD isolate, CBG isolate, CBN isolate, and purified cannabinoid powders.
